Apples and sweet potatoes

3 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 lbs. sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup apple juice, cider or vinegar
1 Tbsp. melted butter
Mix apples and lemon juice. In a baking dish place a layer of sweet potatoes then a layer of apples. Continue until apples and sweet potatoes are finished. Pour in the apple liquid and dribble melted butter over the top.
Cover casserole and bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour. Uncover and bake another 15 minutes.
