Holy toledo, that smarts!
It turns out my chills and fever and aches of the last few days were the result of an infected knee. I went into the local hospital emergency room this morning (every doctor in the county is apparently on holiday today) when a red line developed between my sore left knee and my groin. Dr. O’Gara, the Gold Beach physician on call, prescribed an antibiotic but also drew some fluid out of the knee with a syringe to have it analyzed. Getting a big needle in your knee hurts like hell!

Oh, man… I know that one as I’ve had it done twice in my 62 years because of an old knee injury during my younger days. But, I do hope that everything turns out okay for you and it’s nothing serious.
