Deadline, deadline, deadline!
Who has time for blogs when it’s deadline? Annie came back from pneumonia and put in five straight 12-hour days. Lenie even longer. I just got home from the office at 7:51 pm and they’re still at the office. There oughta be a law that we don’t have to work this hard! Maybe I should form a union or become a Democrat. Yuk! Yuk!

Lucky your in the land of the free Dave here in europe you would face prosecution for allowing (not forcing) allowing an employee to work more that a 48 hour week. Its called the Working Time Directive, a nice communist ring to it. Fortunatly the UK opted out of it but was forced on us later (for our own good of course!)
This directive has been responsible for many deaths in hospitals as doctors have had to hand patients over to other doctors preventing continuity of care. It has particularly impacted surgeons. Still could be worse France has a 35 hour working week and an employer cannot ask you to work more hours. Laughably people over here always moan about the USAs ability to generate wealth yet subscribe to tinpot ideas like this!!

I believe hard work will be America’s Ace in the Hole as a way to get us out of this economic recession. Of course, we’ve still got to stop all the government spending. But Americans, especially entrepreneurs, are still willing to work very hard as long as government doesn’t pass all sorts of laws that take away the money we strive to make. That will create the jobs here — entrepreneurs burning the midnight oil with hard work.

hey now! careful! Don’t let the obots hear you use that naughty word “entrepreneur”! I think “hard work” is only acceptable if it is for the collective!
