I’m becoming a night person
Sunday, January 13th, 2008I’m becoming a night person. Last night I was up until 3:30 a.m. editing articles for the upcoming issue. The night before I was up til 2:30 a.m. I work in the rocker/glider by the stove in my study off the bedroom, and I get a lot done. The drawback is that I don’t get up until about 11 a.m. the next day. By the time I have a cup of coffee, check my email, and shower, it’s the afternoon. I don’t like that. The day seems half gone and I’ve got so much to do. I think I’ll adjust my circadian rhythm, that biological clock each of us has that regulates our sleeping and waking habits. William Dement, the author of “The Promise of Sleep,” said you can do it with the judicious application of bright lights. I’ll have to get that book down from my shelf and see exactly how it’s done.
Four more days to deadline for the March/April issue. The issue is starting to come together.
