<description>This comment is for the lady that wants to reduce the sugar in her pickled beets. I don't do pickles yet but I did strawberry jams with Xylitol and pure white stevia and like the result! It taste like sugar, no aftertaste.

I mix 2 cups Xylitol and 2 tsp pure white stevia. That is equal to the sweetening ability of 4 cups sugar; so I use what I need. Like half of this mixture is equal to the sweeteness of 2 cups sugar.

If this lady would like to still use regular sugar but cut on the amount, she can mix 2 cups sugar with 2 tsp pure white stevia to have the sweeteness of about 4 cups sugar. Add to taste.

Or could mix 1 cup sugar and 1 cup Xylitol with 2 tsp pure white stevia to equal about 4 cups of sugar in sweetening ability (but only the bulk of 2 cups of sugar).

I've never tried splenda but from what I've heard, I would not mix splenda with stevia because Splenda has an aftertaste and stevia do not only sweeten but enhances the taste. But maybe some Splenda could be use with some sugar and some Xylitol and some stevia.

Myself I enjoy using Xylitol and stevia. It is all natural, does not disturb the blood sugar level; I buy it at my health food store.

Maybe, would you pass this message to Donna Clements. I hope this can help someone.

Thank you for your support in our journey to become more self-reliant.
