Looking at Google Earth with the cloud layer turned on - I wanted to get a look at the latest hurricane. When I did that, I noticed an even bigger spiral up by Alaska - not as tight, but it looks like it could be a huge storm.

I've never heard of a hurricane that far north - do they get them? Or is it just a big swirly cloud up there?!

They get big storms, to be sure, but I don't thing they're called hurricanes. I was watching 'Deadliest Catch' and they showed a pattern just like that on the radar; it was playing havoc with their fishing fleet, but they just called it a major low pressure system.

TV smarts, take it or leave it, LOL. ;)

Just a low pressure system, rain bands now and then as it comes across - at least thats the forecast for here
