Hi. We are in the Tn mountains building an off grid berm home. Eventually we are trying to be self suffifcient. Next year we can think about gardens and animals. This year it's all about building. If you want to see our pictures check it out.

KrazyMonkey , Right now we live in nine mile falls just outside spokane wa. on 20 acres but it's getting a little crowded here so we bought another 20 with a cabin and developed spring above curlew wash about 3/4 miles from Canada. we are in the process of building an under ground home there and will retire there.

Hi Flatwater,
I know your neck of the woods. We have to be on North Garfield tomorrow. Pretty close to 9 Mile isn't it?
We live over the border near Priest River

Check out the Shelton area - close to Olympia but until recently pretty much undiscovered by the mobs. It still is pretty much looked over by the city people, yet close enough for an easy commute. I am only 17 miles from Olympia. Take a look at the thread I put in homesteading, I almost traded Deberosa for that place in Montessano!

MistyRiver , got to this a little late but yes it's close like in 7 or 8 miles. I have been to the priest lake area many times. In the winter I head up that way to watch the dog sled races. How did you guys survive the wind storm were having today ? Colvile got hit really bad and still have a bunch of wild fires burning.

I saw this a bit late too! ;D
We didn;t do too badly during the wind storm. We are sheltered a lot by the mountains, thank goodness.
