I seen some solar pond pumps on e-bay and i am wondering if i got one and put it in my stock tank if it would keep the water from freezing from the constant movement of water ?
Do any of you know if this would work? I just hate to spend the money on something if it is not going to be usefull.
Thank You

That really depends on where you life. When I was a kid, in central Mo, they used similar items to keep a small spot of the pond from freezing. But, eventually, it got so cold they froze anyway. Now days, I don't know.

The only successful ones I've seen (not that I'm an expert) involved propane.

unless it is heated, it can still freeze if it gets cold enough...
