Airport craziness

A coworker returned from a business trip last week with another airport horror story.

She had a bottle of Hair Gell that was 3.53 ounces. She took it on the trip and by the time she was returning it was about half gone. They confiscated it!!! The limit is 3.5 ounces....

Then they went on to drop her laptop on the floor. It ended up breaking the latch but she didn't notice that until well on her way.


I sure am glad we are so safe when flying. >:(

doesnt sound like a horror story to me. yeah it sucks that they dropped her laptop but i would have taken all of their names just incase it was damaged & sought reimbursement. a good tip for everyone is to put all your liquids/gels in your checked bag. i travel in shoes that are easy to take on & off also & no metal at all in my clothing just to make things more likely to go smoothly. i just wear a nice pair of workout pants which tie instead of a belt or zipper & comfortable athletic shoes which i can slip on & off without tying the laces.

after 9-11 i was really irritated with some of the airport regulations, but i decided to just get over it & roll with the punches. its just the world we live in today.

I guess I feel alot differently about the airport power trip. It's not stopping terror, it's simply harassing citizens by show of power. Not to mention the huge cost of such beauracracy!
