Medford Or info?

Thinking of relocating to southern Oregon. Any tips or helpful advice? Where is the best area to get a couple (2-20) acres with a home? Places to stay away from. The economy (I am a studio/ wedding/ school/ commercial Photographer)

We are visiting the area in a couple of weeks, so I am trying to maximze the time by finding the best places ahead of time. We are leaning towards the Medford area because I need a good population base to draw from for my photography. Thanks for your input!

how about Grants Pass - Rogue River? Would like 5+ acres. Areas to stay away from?

We went down to that area looking to relocate also, BUT found that many state laws have change down there, so much so that, plus all the wineries that have come there shot up the price of good land, we decided to pass on going there at this time. But we were looking for land to build on ourselves.
