Well, i'll tell you what i am doing, and it's kinda fun.
I have a solar tower with street numbers for it, but i don't use the numbers, only put some aluminum foil along the tower from top to bottom to reflect the two led lights that are on top and supposed to illuminate the letters that i have tossed out.
Now, my whole room is lit up wiht the led lights and their reflection all along the tower, and it is great, has to be set out in sun every couple of days to recharge the little batterys in it.
--and then, i bought a set of four lamps to go outdoors along the driveway, but took two apart to see how they worked, and now use the other two for light, just like candles.
They "burn" for a few days before having to be recharged.
If you don't recharge them, the battery will burn out.
==and so if you don't want to use them for awhile, disengage the batteries until you need a solar "candle" again.
You can read by them in an emergency if necessary.
I hghly recommend t hat you buy one of these sets to use in your house in an emergency. They are safe.
I love solar, and wish i could make a solar cell.
Saw one on internet, but it was too complicated.
Surely, we ought to be able to make one if we use our collective heads. come on guys. love, alma
