Oliver, is it possible to filter out video advertisements on the forum? I realize the advertising is the cost of doing business, but the video ads are a real nusiance. I'm on dial-up, and I suspect a lot of people here are. When those devils start downloading (the video) it halts everything until they complete and really slows down response time on the forum. The most recent examples are the McCain ad and one for Lowe's or some home improvement store where a woman takes a chainsaw to a cupboard drawer.

Pat

Gosh I'm on dial up and I have never had a video ad come on the forum. Maybe it's something from your server or something.

No videos from this site, unless I click on them.
Where are you getting them from, on this site?

Upper left corner - Ads by Google. Generally I'm scrolled down and see the bottom bar of the browser with messages about downloading data - the block itself is not visible.

Pat,
You can avoid the video ads by using either the "Ads Right" or "Old Style" layout.
