Just got my new issue of BWH. Since I'm in Germany, I suspect many of you already have yours.
So what do you all think about this issue?
I particularly liked the article on solar refriderators, and of course Jackie Clay.
Thought it was funny that Dave mentioned our discussing his new boat on here, in his answer to a letter to the editor....HEHE I guess we know now that he does stop in here sometimes....If you're reading this Dave...for the record I defended your right to buy whatever you wanted and reminded folks that you worked hard and have come along way....(do I get anything for that ;D)
So anyway what did you guys think about this issue?

I have read it cover to cover already......... :)
A lot of interesting stuff.I too liked the article about the solar powered fridges.
Jackie Clay is my favorite part of the magazine. Her cabin is really starting to get there, can't wait to see photos of it finished.

I'm going to try the cracker recipes on my next days off. I bet they'll be good with the cheese ball recipe I have. The refrigerator articles are helpful because I'll be looking at one soon.
The letters to the editor are the first thing I read then Jackie's articles.

Hey Guys;I personally don't care that much for all the recipe's but I do enjoy the magazine.I usually get it a week after everyone else.I got this issue a week ago
I actually signed up for this magazine after recommending it to a friend on another site and went to the site to give her the URL and the sign up was really cheap so I ordered it.I use to just pick it up at the bookstore in the marina.
The gardening is a bit lacking but just about everything else is really informative.I will continue subscription.-

Other than the concrete pad article, which I have taken up in another post, it was as usual a fine read.
Daves boat. Well Dave, it is just plain no ones damn business what you earn or how you spend it. If a guy can't work hard and make a bit of do ray me to spend on little pleasures it all ain't worth it. The only ones that complain are those that lack the intestinal fortitude to do the work thus they got squat.
ENJOY THE BOAT

I like any topic about solar energy/appliances as well....I also like Jackie Clay's stories and any bread recipes I can find.

I don't get what the fuss was about around the boat on the cover of that issue.............he's a guy, lives near water,he probably should have a boat.I'm sure he probably enjoys a nice relaxing day on the water as much as anyone else.I bet he likes fishing too.
He works hard to make a living just like most people, and it's his money,so who really cares what he does with it.
I enjoyed this newest issue just as I've enjoyed each issue since Day ONE....I always turn to Jackie Clay's articles first but really enjoyed Richard Blunt's article this time too (especially getting to see a photo of his kids.)
The insights always make me think as well....even if there's something I don't agree with I read each and every word because I always glean some new way of looking at things.

I love Jackie Clay, Massad Ayoob, and Richard Blunt. Also like to read John Silveria, I've got his autographed book of poetry somewhere that I've read several times since I got it. He's got one in there about finding dead kittens ever so often on the highway that makes me cry and want to beat on someone cruel enough to toss them out of a moving car.
