In most states, certainly not all, the cut-off to register to vote is November 11.
Please do it. I don't care HOW you vote - because if you're a forum member, you probably care enough to give it some good, hard thought before you do. That's all we really need: lots and lots of thoughtful, passionate voters.
I've been listening to the Democratic and Republican candidates for governor in my state blistering the other guy for all his illegal activities. They're both telling the truth (this time) - luckily, there is a third-party type guy running who is not a total scumbag. If enough people in my state do the right thing, both of our big money scumbags will get a surprise after election day, and this time it won't be one they can write checks on! *::)
I don't want to send our current elected officials any message except maybe "SHAME ON YOU & GET OUT!"

Luckily we have a third party candidate also, I'm so sick of the two party system and the mud they sling.
We have been successful before in ousting both parties at election time here in MN.
Hopefully people have gotten smarter and will do the right thing, but I know there are still the ones that go and vote and haven't done their homework. :-/

I've been think about going to try to unregister. I have never seen so many crooked lawyer s.o.b.'s running for office in my life. I think our town bums could do a better job. If you vote for aybody around here and they screw up "which is a guarntee" then you want to kick your own ass. At best its a vote for bad or a vote for worse.
Election day is just another day!

I am registered to vote---as Old says---I do vote and often.
A few months back I voted againest our Mayor--he has been there forever and his property gets worked on---by city workers while I had a meter leak on the water meter for months--they'd come [[ look ]] at it and disappear---this went on through election time---
It was well known I voted againest him--ran into him at the Post Office and he said [[ i hear you voted againest me?
I said yes I did and that is my right to do so.
He ask me WHY?
Told him--The corruption in the city was terrible and it was illegal for city workers to work on anyones private property and He was the leading offender----
By the time our conversation was finished --had him backed across the parking lot.
The following week--my meter leak was fixed----instead of being patched up--i got a new water intake line.
Voting does work---We just have to pay attention and do some home-work.
A little aside on the illegal problem-----We allowed it to happen---for Years--its not the present days administrations fault---But they are expected to fix it over nite--immediatley---they cant.
Illegals have been made welcome in this country as cheap labor for decades---We need to look at our own greed---Cause and Effect.
We can start by stopping employers from hiring them.
Fines and prison works for me.
And these little band-aid approches wont do anything but muddy the waters----spend tax dollars and aggravate the hell out of me.

We've finally got a choice in this state for the Gov. office.
I can vote for the female crook or I can vote for the male crook.
Decisions decisions decisions
