Hello all.

I'm Montanamoma. I live in nw Montana were the windchill said -28 this morning. We have been dreaming of homesteading for a while and in the last year have gotten or chickens and goats. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome aboard. I have chickens also. Aren't they fun? I used to have dairy goats, but since marrying DH haven't convinced him on their worthiness yet. Still working on that though!

Hello from Texas Montana :) - 28! We complain about cold when it's +30. My whole married life I have told my husband I want to move to Montana and he says we can't be cause I can't handle the cold. Darn he gets me every time. I finally convinced DH that dairy goats would be good so we are building the fencing now in preperation for their arrival hopefully this spring.

Brrr - I sometimes think I'd like to move to Montana or Wyoming but then I realize how much farther north you are than us - and I HATE the cold. It's sunny mid 30's low 40's in VT this morning. I just had to force my littles back into the house. They've been stuck inside most of the time since November (the snow is deeper than they are tall during the depths of winter). They're so ready for spring - they stay out as much as possible now. At least the snow's melted off the deck so they can play out there. Every day is a mud fest here right now! At least two clothing changes and yesterday I had to fetch a stranded boot from 6 inches of mud after my 5YO got stuck!
