When I put in Global Warming News Articles it came back with "about" (their term) 6,800,000 hits.

Should I start posting links??? >:(

My point is two fold. First - among those 6,800,000 very official looking articles I can probably find one that fits what I want to say to make it sound more official or "correct". Big deal.
And Second - if you want to believe everything you read just because someone links to one of those "about" 6,800,000 hits about it on the internet then you might be more of a sheeple than you think!!!!

And maybe add my third point - since these articles inevitably degenerate into "liberals" and "conservatives" placing blame or calling names, why are they not moved to Politics and Current Events?

As far as I'm concerned there is no global warming . We have climatic weather and links to hear a bunch of lies makes no since. But hay maybe some of the libs would like to get their ears tickled.

What??? - do you mean posting a bunch of "authoritative" news articles on the subject is not swaying you? *;D

Edited to add:

Surely putting them in GENERAL would certainly be the swaying factor in changing your mind. ::)

I guess its just beyond my comprehension what the big hub bub is of a post that is deemed to be in the wrong section. Why anything this minor in the sceme of life would irritate anyone. I myself posted a joke about the micro management of a forum and it was moved just as was stated in the joke. I personally got a big laugh out of it that it became self prophetizing. My advice is don't sweat the little stuff and move on to bigger and better things.

Well, that sort of makes both of us puzzled I guess because I can't fathom why there are those that need so much attention to what they write that they put things in the wrong places! Just as I can't fathom that there are so many that believe everything in those 6 million odd links to stuff just because it's on the internet!

Why sweat the little stuff? Because I've seen this kind of thing trash this site beyond recognition. Heck, I've seen other freedom sites have to HIRE special mods to control members just because of junk started by people who want attention apparently!!!!

Exactly what is so hard about posting in the correct area - you will get the attention of people interested in your topic? Or do you think you convert people with spam to think differently?

99.99% of the "news" articles on the internet(just like on TV, radio or newspaper) are bunk!!! I happen to think you are more of a sheeple to fall for this kind of thing than those struggling to make it in the cities! I just find that people posting this kind of propoganda, in places it doesn't belong because they think it is so incredibly important is being a bit hypocritical being this is a self reliance site!

My point is much larger than simply being irritated about stuff being in the wrong place. My point is amazement that there are so many who really believe everything fed to them to the point they feel the need to get the attention of others in every way they can.

I never posted out of place but once on this forum--years ago.

I was new then and yes--IF your going to post--put it where it belongs.

And I doubt the average person here--believes half of what it reads--if and when it would get time to read that many articles.

But pounding people over-the head with it--aint gonna make it happen.
