I find it astonishing that most folks on here totally BELIEVE their GVT is GOOD and cares about the American citizen (or in this case soldier).
PLEASE in form yourselves.
I picked this because it was a Supreme Court case.
A case of blatant lying by the Army resulting in harming a soldier, all done for an experiment. And he wasn't the only one.

You guys that want to protect the US, should realize that there are certain aspects that SHOULD NOT be protected. Some of our GVT agencies are dangerous to US.

Most of all, don't say the atom bomb witness thing is bogus, my cousin was there about a mile from some of those tests on a boat (Navy), he died when he was around 30 years old from Leukemia, I remember.

My dad fought in WW2 and I remember him and his buddy talking about how the goverment treats the servicemen and women and the American people,and they even said they don't even know why they went and fought for this country since it turned it's back on the people and them. I have no faith or trust the goverment I only have faith and trust in God ,and certain members of my family. I always told people screw the goverment because they are going to screw you worse.

I lost my first boyfriend to that war.
Was a bad time for us all.

But don't get me wrong - I don't buy into that "poor veteran" junk. I'm not a victim.
I'd do it again, even knowing the outcome. That's how much I love my country and it's people. Don't care too much for the government, however.

A little known fact is ALL soldiers are considered "property" when on active
duty. That is why so many soldiers come to harm in non-combat ways.

MY bil was in a company that did the actual spraying and loading planes for the agent orange crap. He is now disabled and the Gov FINALLY admited his health problems came from agent orange. That took years.
No I don't believe everything the gov says, just like I don't believe everything I see posted in a forum.

I posted a similar line of thought in another section today. The Gov't has been lying to us to get us worked up about things for at least 100 years. The Maine explosion-I saw a documentary on it where it casts doubt on the mine theory. The Lusitania was intentionally sent into German sub controlled waters with one boiler inop, after which it was sunk, guaranteeing our involvement in the first of Europe's wars in the 20th century. Then there's evidence coming to light now about Roosevelt's goading of the Japanese into attacking us-after conveniently moving our carriers out of Pearl Harbor, leaving only WW1 relic Battleships to be attacked. Then there's the Gulf of Tonkin incident-some evidence we were lied to about that one too. Gulf War I,II--as time goes on, more evidence will come to light about our adventures in the desert. Seems like all these things started around the turn of the last century. Is it a coincidence that the rise of Money Trusts and Industrialists (JP Morgan, Rockefeller, Carnegie, Mellon) happened at the same time? Who profitted from getting us involved in these wars? How many of our good men have fought and died for lies? That's the part that angers me the most. Fight to the death to preserve our Republic, yes of course! Fight for the Banker and Industrialist? Never!

I can't believe my eyes RPD. There isn't no way on Gods Green Earth I'd do it again. There were a lot of wars I would have and wish I could have but not there. Not knowing what I do now. No way. Think back to what we did over there and for what?? They took kids and turned them into zombies. I was 21 when I joined was I was still a kid. All of us was. We were used and through away. Disposable toy soldiers. I hope you don't feel bad at me about that but that's the way I feel about it. They didn't give a damned about us nor this country.

Buck, you are right about that. After I got to Ft. Bragg they sent me to the hospital to a dentist. He was a Capt. He looked at my records and looked up at me and said these exact words, "Well, you have 5 teeth we are going to pull today."
Before I even thought, I said "You are crazy as hell"
I saw the look on his face and remembered who he was and I added "SIR".
He said "Son, you don't own your body any more, The army does and we are pulling 5 teeth today"
We went around and around but I didn't have any teeth pulled. And I still have all but one of them.
At one time I actually told him, "you and who's army" :o.
That was the only time I ever had anyone tell me the army "OWNED" my body but he sure as hell did.
I think as soon as you get to basic you get the idea you done screwed up joining and they pretty much own you but that Capt came straight out and said it.

Do I believe our government? I believe that they will lie to you to suit there own agenda. I never got any medicine given to me but now I have diabetes and diabetic neuropathy and I am disabled due to Agent Orange exposure. Now sold over the counter under the name Round Up.
The biggtest lie ever is "I am from the government and I am here to help you". Remeber there are different versions of help.
Would I ever do it again? If it weren't for my health then I would. In spite of my health I would do what I could.
Am I angry? No, just feel sorry for people who feel the need to lie to people who are saving thier stupid ass from the enemy.
If we the people don't step forward to defend our selves and our country we have insulted all who served before us.
I will not disrespect any military veteran.
I think that all who want to serve as a politician should have active military service under thier belt before they try to tell the military what is best. That is why I don't support Obama or any one without military service. We won't go to a doctor who didn't go to medical school, we won't seek out an attorney who doesn't have a law dergree. We did elect a commander-in-chief whos has shown patriotic disrespect and didn't see the need to to enlist to defend the country he is now trying to lead.

They will stick a secret clearance on you ans make you lie to your own wife.
Say a damned word to her and let her say something to one of her friends and her friends tells her hubby and he tells his first sargent and you go to the stockade for 20 years.

I don't care who you are, the thought of 20 years in a military jails does not sound like a good isea.
