Hello everyone,
We are headed back to NW Michigan (after a few years in the mountains outside Idaho City, Idaho and the last two in the concrete canyons of Phoenix).

Any fellow individualists out there from NW Michigan? We need your tips before purchasing a wee place in the sorta-outback. Any independent living going on out there? Thank you.

Hello from a fellow michigander! Are you talking the NW lower penninsula or the NW upper penninsula?

Thanks for replying, fellow Michigander. We love the UP (spent most of our free time there) but this time we are returning to the NW Lower.

Hi Tom and Dawn,

This is Will Vinekeeper. We are located in northern Antrim and southern Charlevoix county. Raise trees, nursery stock, chestnuts, blueberries, shiitake mushrooms, and lots of timber. Also maple syrup, sweet corn, pumpkins, sunflowers and such.

Generally where are you and what are you up to?

be well

Hello from Texas. It is a good group just ask a question and someone will try to help.
