This is one varied and interesting site for like minded homesteaders. I think I found it looking for info on planting Fall potatoes or some such. Apparently, potatoes are better left to Spring for the most part.
Just wanted to say hello from the sunny and hot Southeast. I began purchasing my dream about 13+ years ago and about have it paid for. 15 1/2 acres with two small ponds, 30 yr. old mobile home, 30X60 metal building, and a tractor, bush hog, and various other implements thrown in. The Lord has surely smiled on me and mine and I thank him every day for helping my dreams come true. I have started replacing the old mobile home with a cabin (started as a tree house and has evolved). I hope this will get me by until I can build a nicer and even more efficient house.
I have so many projects bouncing around for making things more sustainable my bank account can't keep up. But, I am a borderline pack rat (strong Scottish bloodlines) and I often find much of what I need that some people just throw away. Anyway, I'm sure I'll have many questions. RobJob @ the Springs.
