We are in Wilkes County. Not as pretty as Ashe but we like it here. We have 19 acres and a log cabin. Moved here 2 years ago from the coast. Wish the economy was a little better here. Hope things are better down your way. I read Charlotte is doing well.?

From an economical standpoint, I suppose all is well in my neck of the woods...but property crime is running rampant, and urban sprawl has taken hold of Gaston County (where I actually live) in a bad way.

IMO, Wilkes County is every bit as scenic as Ashe County, but with fewer tourists...gotta love that! ;D
