;DHello to all! I stumbled on this site last night while researching. I am new to the concept of homesteading, but am working my way through the learning process. So far, I have a flock of 14 chickens and 2 guineas. I have 2 little piggies and have started a garden... previously I have had quite a brown thumb, but my garden is growing quite well and is beginning to produce! I am feeling more powerful by the day. My ultimate goal is to raise enough fruits, veggies, meat and eggs to feed my family with the hope that I can accomplish more to have excess to sale. I am literally learning from the "ground up" and enjoying myself alot! I am looking into getting some goats, but have had a difficult time finding the breed that I desire (Kinder) as they are not available in my area... will probably have to start with a nubian doe and pygmy buck and breed my own line to get them.
Ahhh... I could go on and on! Enough about me, though. I am looking forward to many valuable lessons from this forum.
