Thanks for the link. I saw that over at SHTF Milita (thanks again, rick).
I have been preparing for the collapse for almost 10 years now. The only piece of the puzzle left is a solar panel and inverter to run my well pump. It's 200 feet deep, so a hand pump won't work.
The stock boys at the local IGA store don't bat an eye anymore when the wife and I buy canned veggies by multi case lots. :)
Still have to get a plow we can hitch to one of the horses for when there's no more gas for the tiller. The wife has years worth of seeds on hand.
We made our escape from the "bright lights" in 1995 and have never been happier. We live 6 miles outside a one stop light town on a dead end dirt road. My perimeter is wired in and guarded by 5 dogs and one slightly crazy guy.

Welcome to the real world Batman. Come out of the movie house people, turn off the tv, look around you and see your nation crumbling down around our very ears. Do 15 cents worth of research into history and see where we are sliding down to at warp speed now.
