:-* Glad to see "Backwoods" online, reading while waiting for the snow to go down soI can start building my cabin. Currently I am "extreme camping" here in the North Woods of Maine. Quite rugged (and handy) for an old gal, but need very much to be self-reliant. I have 13+ acres and a ferocious truck. Would like to use as much of my own timber as possible. Starting out with a small website business where I showcase my "Hippiecraft"...jewelry, leather and gifts using a wide array of natural mediums (often scrounged). I even make jewelry out of bullet shell casings. No electricity or running water yet, but I am happy as a clam. LOVE this magazine, and it's one of the few I find in our general store. I have lots of questions for the forum, and hope to connect to other hard-core country folk!
