Hey all, I'm a newbie here at BHM. I've been lurking awhile and decided to join in. I'm starting a small (very small) homestead outside of Boogertown, TN, which is a suburb of Pigeon Forge, TN. I have only 2 acres, but I'm gonna make the best of it. I'm starting a veggie garden this spring, the first one in quite a few years. I intend to keep it as organic and natural as I can. I'll also be putting in a small orchard, mostly fruit trees and a couple of pecan trees. The plan also includes chickens (naturally) and bees. I'm retiring from cabinetmaking after 30 years and will have plenty of time to work on developing everything. Just not all at once. I would like to hear from all my E.TN neighbors and anyone else with some helpful advice.
