New from NH

Hello everyone - I'm in central NH and new to this board.

My husband and I are very interested in being self sufficient in this mass product world.

We have a garden every summer and we currently have chickens. We are looking for a couple of calves to raise for beef and are thinking about a milk cow.

I enjoy cooking and I'm learning to knit and sew.

The idea of being self sufficient was something I have not been interested in before, but the older I get the more I like the idea of living simply.

I would love to talk to others who feel this way and I look forward to being part of this message board.

Hi Kathey. I'm planning on moving to NH to get off the grid soon. I've met a lot of NH Free Staters that are willing to help me once I get there. I will be at the annual FSP event this June www.porcfest.com to tie up loose ends for my move. Being from NH you should check them out.
