I'm new to the Board and glad to find a place where I can discuss homesteading concerns. I expect to retire in a year or so, sooner with good luck, and want to have a mini-homestead when I do. I'm a single woman in my early sixties and hope to find ways to have a backwoods home without a lot of outside help.
I'm feeling especially motivated today after hearing on the news that the wholesale price index has gone up 7.4% over the past year!
