Long background story, but basically me & my son and my brother are moving 1hr north around August due to multiple foreclosures (not mine) and an early mid-life crisis (my bro who's 29). *Up towards Adams/Juneau/Vernon/Marquette counties. We've sold everything we've got worth any chunk of cash and will be buying outright.
Not homesteading looking to make any profit, but to be more self-reliant. We're looking for something under 20K on an acre minimum and there's multiple properties we've found that fit that criteria within an hour of Madison, so we'd be commuting for probaby a year. Has to have a livable structure until next spring and turning a metal pole shed into a two flat.
Anyway, I'm Teri *;D and I've always said I'd be happy in a shack in the woods with my doggies, a soappot out front and a little greenery out back!
