Dear Forum Members,
Greetings, everybody! I am a long-time reader of _Backwoods Home Magazine_ from the magazine shelves, by subscription, and online. Only now have I found the time to post to the Readers' Forum.
Me, I'm just a working-hard, playing-hard, live-and-let-live, live-and-help-live fellow who loves everything that _Backwoods Home_ stands for. For now, I live in Gaston County, NC, but also spend time in Lincoln County, NC and Catawba County, NC. Although I am presently a city dweller, I love camping, fishing, shooting, outdoor exercise, and woodsrunning and I have gardened successfully whenever I had access to a patch of Earth to plow and plant.
My dream is to have not just one homestead, but ideally a network of homesteads, maybe one in NC, one in Tennessee, one in New Hampshire, one in Wyoming, or any other relatively free place receptive to a self-sufficient lifestyle.
No matter where I go or where I end up, I always do and will practice at least part-time entrepreneurship and Survivalism/Disaster Preparedness.
I would love to both correspond with and even meet with others who share my many interests. If you are near to my locality, that is a plus, but I am game for hearing from like-minded people nationwide and worldwide.
