Hello All,
I've been a BHM subscriber for 3 years. Just yesterday decided to try out the forum. If y'all have been successful at keeping this forum respectful and cordial, them I say very well done.
We live in Southern Oregon, a few hours drive from where BHM is published. I'm a pilot and one of our favorite summer weekend day-trips is to fly our plane over to Gold Beach airport in the to cool off from hot weather. It is usually always cool there. The airport is only about 100 yards from the ocean, so it is an easy walk to the beach, and a few hundred yards walk in the other direction to have a nice grilled Dungeness crab and cheese sandwich for lunch.
We are in the midst of getting ourselves totally self reliant for what Cindy and I judge to be the high probability that self reliance is going to be essential for survival. We are planning for up to two years of total self reliance, and that is a lot of work as many of you know. I look forward to reading the ideas and suggestions from all of you.
I like BHM magazine a lot, but I was very disappointed to read the recent editorial article that seemed to minimize human causation as a concern for global warming.
