View Full Version : If an Angel came to see you...

...would you make her feel at home?
That's a line from an old Black Oak Arkansas song but, it got me thinking. Joe Walsh sang a song about UFOs on LSD. His 'Alphabet Song'.
In the Bible, I can't find any angels with feminine names. Are all angels male?
Angels and Demons both posess the power of flight. Correct? Ezekial was taken into the 'heavens' at a ripe old age. From my studies, Heaven refers to a Place. The 'heavens' refer to the sky, as opposed to the 'firmament', or ground. When Ezekial saw the 'wheel' come from the heavens, what do you think he witnessed?
This thread is for UFO believers like me. :)

Yup, add me to the looney bin too!
Seen a few UFO's but they were just that, unidentified flying objects. Could'a been the Greys, but who knows for sure?
Used to quote the Drake Equation a lot and used it like a big stick to get my point across. Finally I saw the not~so~obvious flaw... (I'm not a genius, and calculators were made for folks like me.)
I still believe, but I fear our first encounter will be like a re-run of Independence Day!

Karen, my wife, says that any truly enlightened, angelic, race would give our sad lil globe a fly-by and continue on their way. I have to agree, especially if they are smart & monitor our newscasts.

My mom once told me she didn't think we should have any women in the combat arms fields of the military. I told her that we are going to need all the fighter pilots we can get, "The Romulyns will come!" ;)

I believe poor Ezekiel was doing his best to describe the indescribable.

I've no idea what it was, and obviously he didn't either. I do know, however, that it was very, very cool. 8)

Angels are neither masculine or feminine. Just because the names sound masculine doesn't make them so.

Wheels within wheels...
As a brat we had bible study every wednesday night. One night we were reading this exact passage & the preacher asked what folks thought of it.
Well, Miss Maimie spoke up that it sounded like a family & their poodle dog out for a drive... in a flying tank!
Go back & read it, it'll never be the same.

Oh, my favorite subject.

The bible is full of the attempts of the old timers trying to tell us something as best they could.

I think that the gods of old were men who came here with advanced technology.

I've written a lot about this elsewhere.
I think the old timers who had encounters with these men who were "gods" to them, and were taken to mountain tops for a week or two with them, came back to become the prophets of old with what they had been taught.

Maurice Jessup wrote UFO and the bible. and yerrirll and yerrill worte gods who were men years ago.

That is where i got my first idea about all of this.

When i returned the book to the library, i could never get it again. They said it was being repaired, but it was not in need of repair, and two years later it was still gone, so i went on to study the stuff myself with what i had gleaned from this first encountrer with ufology.

I have never seen any of the modern conveyences called ufo, but don't think they are the same by any means.

The ufos of the bible are clearly super high tech stuff and people's encounter with these men they presumed to be gods, probably from another planet.

Von Dannnigan wrote some stuff. I have not read much of him, but jessup was great.

--and i guess there were others who touched upon the subject, but i have really gone into it, and love it.and have written some stuff of my own.

The bible is absolutely full of references to unidentified flying objects, ufo, if you will. love, alma

Holy Schmoly! I didn't expect so many replies. Wow. It was just a Test to see who was Looney and who was Smart.

wy0mn: They were Greys. The Dracs would have a prob with your RF output, causing thier ships to wander off-course during propogation or solar flares.

msta: Star Trek was a great TV show but, I think it was Space: 1999 that had female pilots. Or maybe Battlestar Galactica? That was long ago. In a galaxy far, far...

Annabella: sweet Annabella. Your name doesn't sound masculine at all. You're an Angel, though.

ALMA: whoa! How I would love to sit and talk with you for HOURS! It sounds very suspicious about the book 'disappearing'. That would be an instance where I might report, to the library, the book as being lost and offer to pay for it. Those kind of books are 'disappearing'. I don't think I need to explain further.

Hey Alma-
Another good book is "Fingerprints of the Gods" by Graham Hancock.
It leans more toward the 'Atlantis was ours' crowd, but has loads of historical/archaeological/anthropological *anomalies that could be used in a pro-UFO debate.
Do you have a secure 'drop box' address, so I can send it to you? I need it no longer.
(I've toyed with the idea of having my mail re-routed thru Alabama before it gets to me. But with the Freedom of Information Act( and peoples misinterpretation of it), our ability to disappear is darned near nil anyway. You cannot hide if you have a drivers license, credit or debit cards. Of course I'd never be able to shut up anyway...)

KJV Genesis 6:3-5 & chapter 19-- Those angels were male, so it stands to reason there are females too. Many folks who haven't actually read the bible have that neutral gender view.

WyOmn , This belongs in the humor section. When you say ,it stands to reason, Then you are using mans reasoning (Mans reasoning Includes females also as in man kind) Any how you can't use reasoning because our reasoning is not Gods reasoning.

OK Flat, so god ISN'T perfect. He made a single sex species. You've convinced me. No more christian bible study for me its a waste of time. I'll go fishing instead. (just kidding, I can't debate the bible if I'm unarmed :))

All christians HAVE is the bible. Or better yet, lets continue to prune out the bits we disagree with and see whats left, shall we?

Here comes the babbling of the madmarine.

As a retired marine and as has been passed down through the marines we have a simple saying that leaves us out of the loop.

When we die we go into limbo, heaven won't have us and the devils afraid we'll take over

Had to inject something into the coversation.

An Angel did come to see me.
I was about 8 yrs old.
She blew the winds of heaven through my soul.
Or, blew life into it.....it really is a hard thing to put into words.
Words are never right to describe this visit.
And, then of course a lot of people with visits like mine become "different" types of people.
I have visions.
Wee!
Curse/blessing.
And, my visions include UFO's.
I have never seen one in an "awake" state.
But, my vision showed me UFO's coming just in time to save us all from blowing ourselves up, like maybe in a nuclear war.
They turned off the power all around the world, and showed us who really had the power.
They turned our man made power off in a moment.
All of it.
Woo hoo!
I LOVED it.
I saw the people sitting out in lawn chairs, watching the sky filled with UFO's like a movie.
Sort of "for your entertainment".
lol....
I for one, was really glad to see them.

Another angel appeared while I was with my Sister.....she still, to this day refuses to speak of it, which really frustrates me......
I wish I knew how to post a pic because of the second angel I was able to draw her and have it on my pc.

The cats outta the bag.....I'm one of the strange ones here.
Really wanted to keep that kinda under the covers, but, oh well, as pop eye sais,
"I yam what I yam"....
And I LOVE spinach!!!
LOL!

If an Angel came to see me....I'd probably "soil" myself!! ;D
Actually, I've prayed for Divine Guidance soooo many times I'd probably have a thousand questions....AFTER I soiled myself!! ;D

The encounters people had with angels in the Bible usually didn't start with " hay there , you must be an angel so whats happening bud , got time for some coffee ?" Most of the people were afraid , very afraid. Now with that said I did see a UFO on the road one day if that stands for unidentified flat object (road kill).
