Thanks for forum's Merry Christmas

I just wanted to thank the forum administrators for actually telling us Merry Christmas (with Christmas lites, even! ;D across the top of the page.
Even here in littletown, USA with really no cultural minorties around, I am hearing more happy holiday and seasons greetings than i care to mention.

Here in the People's Republic, all you hear now is Season's Greetings and Happy Holidays, no doubt to forestall anyone's delicate sensibilities being bruised.

I think is foolish and have been wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. I've gotten some strange looks, some grateful and happy looks, a good number of Merry Christmas's back, and some wide-eyed Happy Holidays in return from young cashiers too afraid to disregard company policy.

I look at Christmas this way -- If you're a religious Christian, then Christmas should be a celebration of the birth of your savior. If you're not, then Christmas should be a celebration of peace, and love, and family, and friendship.

That way, everyone wins, except the busy-bodies who can't stand to see anyone having a good time. And I just love making busy-bodies miserable. ;D

I've even heard a "MERRY CHRISTMAS - SO THERE!"
