New from the Valley

Hello everyone,
I'm new to BWH forums. We were given a years subscription to the mag from friends who sub up north. We've subbed to some other mags for a number of years, but BWH is the one we'll stick with. We'll not renew one and have already let the other go and stick with BWH alone. Saving my pennies to get the anthologies. We live on a scant 5 acres in the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. 7 goats call me "ma" along with a llama, steer, a flock of chickens and several cats. All the human kids have left the nest leaving the husband and I to tend the animals and garden. We'd like to retire to a quieter area, but that may take a while. So, that's it from here. I'm looking forward to learning to know everyone.

Welcome and enjoy , although sometimes a thick skin is required, mostly straight forward honest folk in here.

Thanks for the welcome. I guess I've already figured out that a thick skin will help. But, I'd rather someone shoot from the hip than beat around the bush. I look forward to reading and learning to know some folks.

welcome here. I have lived in Staunton ( was in DaJarNet Reform school there as a teen :) .. also went to Randolph-Macon Military Acadmy In Front Royal..

So I know both yer neck of the woods Well !!! :P
