Hey Everyone..

Been lurking for a bit & liked wht I saw so here I am.

I live in the eastern coastal part of Maine & was 'born & raised' here.

Been involved in survival / prep forums since Cap't Daves & am currently a member of several.

I'm self employed (carpentry etc) & have been so for 20+ yrs, general class ham operator with gear, like any outdoor activity, enjoy computers & acoustic guitar playing / singing.

So here I be... Looking fwd to helping where I can & learning new things.

Thanks for having me onboard.

Hey, Maineiac, I was born in Bath Maine, lived in bar harbor some as a kid, settled in ellsworth for quite awile.

We left ellsworth the night the town burned down.
The fire was set by an unemployed man who torched the post office, hoping to get a job rebuilding it.

I think it was water street that we lived on and there was a little boat house across from where we lived where they repaired boats.

My grandpa was principal of a high school there.
My dad spent some time in jail there.

Oh, the memories. I could go on all night about my time in maine. I was about 8 when we left to go to massachusetts.

What part of maine are you from? My dad and his brother were involved in the building of the first radio station there, or something. love, alma

Hi Alma:
I'm near Machias (bout halfway between BH & Canada on the coast) Real small town & plenty of woods.
I recall my folks talking about the BH fire. IIRC there were several other major fires in the state that year.
Thanx for the note..
