toad sticker , Blue Creek is some high dollar real estate.

3 acres up that way ususally worth a prettty penny.
Lost in the woods, I love that area of Ohio.

Travel the applacian highway often. (32)

Got one son in Cincinnatti and one in Toledo.

Tease the Toledo one he moved to the north pole all the time. Doesn't seem to bother him though.

He loves the lakes up that way and the sports in detroit.

Needless to say both sons are also Bengals and Ohio state fans to the extreme.

they got season tickets to the bengals games this year and are on cloud nine.

I was a southern oh girl myself for about 23 years.
Got family all over the cleveland area, try to visit in summer before the snow drifts get as high as the telephone poles. :(

Moved further down south after the kids got out of college . To wherr the snow hardly ever flys. LOL ;)

Don't keep us in suspence Mohican .

give us a about location though, not to close as you have to watch out for nuts on the internet.

I guess Lancaster.

I lived about a 1/2 hour from Clarksville. Really small burg, makes me smile to hear that as a guess.

There is a man who runs a old mercedes on used restaurant oil in clarksville I visted recently. The guy is a genius on making things run. Wish I could do that

Hey, Buckeyes, tell us more.

I'm retired, but make some extra money by writing a couple of outdoor columns. We have 67 acres of old strip mine property and I do a lot of hunting, fishing and gardening.

We also have a cottage at Atwood Lake and do more fishing than catching down there. ;D

I was born in Moundsville and grew up in Belmont county. There's some pretty country there that I miss. I've cousins, aunts and uncles in Seville. That's a pretty little town. I remember my cousins telling us about the head stone that was shaped like a couch.

I've lived in Columbus but east of the capitol it's a bit flat for me. One job had me living in Charleston W. (by god) Va. I was a communications technician and got to drive up the side of a few mountains.

???This is my first time at this so I guess that makes me a virgin. I went to highschool outside of Toledo long time ago but I still root for Ohio State and go back to the old place when I can I lived in the country but it's all city now. I don't recognize much anymore. Ido miss the country living. That's why I like You folks that's doing it. Iv'e been lurking a long time and thought I'd jump in and see what's up. There! I done it and it really didn't hurt much.

Hi, I just joined, although I've subscribed to the paper magazine for years.

I'm in SW Ohio. It's interesting to hear of others so close by. I'm into shooting, hunting, fishing and hiking. All those things are getting harder and harder to do. Can somebody tell me where the $$$ is coming from for all these new houses. It's getting to where I can't shoot off the back porch without hitting a neighbor!

Starting to feel like Daniel Boone when someone started a homestead 10 miles away. Time to move - too crowded!

well you all know what a buckeye is, right? It is a worthless nut from Ohio. (Just had to bring out that old saw and give you all a tease). hey, I actually have lived in southwest Ohio, Cincinnati, but that was too big a city, we moved west to the other side of the Miami. Actually, my very own first garden was planted in Ohio ground. that has been a while. husband's folks, like so many from Eastern Ky, moved to Dayton. Wishing all of you buckeyes a good new year.

Sorry all. I didn't find this thread till today. ::)

I live in Central OH. I own couple acres out of town and a place in town. (and fighting to keep them both :-/ )

This is possibly the flatest county in the state.
You can almost see from one side to the other....
...but it's farm country and I love it. :D
