I'm not new to being prepared just new to this board. I just want to live life a little slower things are just to fast i figure i'm 2-8 years away from living completely self sufficient. Looking forward to sharing ideas with everyone.

Where are you at? Not too familiar with the area - spent a few years in Onslow county while in the service. Nice place in the late 70's, but someone let the cat out of the bag - was all built up last time I saw it.
