I live on an acre in the country with a horse, 4 dogs (present count), and an unknown number of free range chickens. Hunt, fish, and spend a good part of the summer camped in the mountains. I believe in harvesting natures bounty, be that wild game, fish, or edible berries, etc. I eat it fresh and can or freeze any surplus.
