Thanks for the welcome everyone!

We are going through our monsoon season now. Hot, humid days, thunderstorms in the afternoon/evenings. This usually lasts from the end of July through September then our humidity drops back down to it's usual 8% and our daytime temps begin to stay below 100.

As for desert homesteading info, sorry I'm a "Townie" but I am a "recovered" survivalist and do still spend time camping and hunting, so maybe I wouldn't be useless in a pinch! ;D

Hello, new here meself. Stationed at DMAFB back in early 70s. Sure miss it. Didn't know how beautiful the desert could be. Been to Bisbee lately?
