Hey everybody,
For starters Happy Holidays and all that stuff.

I've had a couple of requests to help people post pictures either in messages or as their avatar, the little pic off to the left.

So, I thought it might be nice to have a thread just for that?

I'm also going to edit this to include a set of instructions and list of different image hosters. *I personally like photobucket because they also have the img and you can just cut and paste it without having to mess with the img buttons here.

The first thing your going to need before you can post a picture is a place to host them online. Most website providers like Angelfire & Tripod will not let you link to your files on their servers so this type of thing won't work. You need to find a host that specializes in pictures & there are many that are free.

I learned by using the "test" board. First, you upload the picture to a website. I use "Tinypic.com" - its free, and they tell you how to do it. Note the link, or have them email it to you - their links are only five letters long, so you want to make sure you don't mistake an "O" for a zero, or a "One" for an "L" - in lower case, sometimes it's hard to tell!

THEN - when it's posted, you start your post here and use the picture icon (fourth from the left, bottom row of BBC tags above your entry box.)

This will insert this: img]URL[/img *(I removed the start and end brackets - *[ ] - so it would print the type rather than paste in the image icon!)

You take out the "URL" part and type or paste in the link to your picture. If all goes well, you'll see the picture when you click the post button on the "Post Reply" box.

If it works in "TEST" it'll work up here too. Be sure to delete the test when you're done!

Yes, I did a silly thing. For fun, I bleached my hair out, and dyed it funny colors. Everyone loved it. It was just so fun to do. Although, Spooky has more than his fair share of hair in this picture, he usually shaves his head, both for the military, and for comfort. I just love this pic of him though, because he looks like a "Deranged Keebler Elf". LMAO!!!! The postoffice ladies decided Spooky and I had the town hairdo awards all to ourselves. Hehehehehehehe

DocSoos, Yes she is beautiful! I love dogs. The deer ain't bad lookin either :).
Since you referred to your dog as your alarm system, I had to share one of ours. This is me and Carlin with our two babies at Springfest last year. Bubba (the male, with me) won 3rd place for being the biggest dog that day. He was a great dog.

Sadly, shortly after this picture was taken last year, Bubba passed away. These two jumping up in the window was enough to scare off anyone! We always referred to them together as our akita alarm system :). Now we still have Fancy (who is with Carlin in the pic), and two smaller dogs. What they lack in size, though, the make up for in bark :).

I know we haven;t met but hope to meet alot of great folks here..I am a Country Gal through and through..I am 34 yrs old with 2 dogs.I live in a small home that has hardly no yard..I have been lucky to have a couple of flower pots .Durning the summer I love to buy as much as possible from farmer markets and local farmers which I find via the Localharvest.org website.
I am in a long term relationship which the other person will only eat store bought food will not even try or allow homemade stuff in the house..
Someday I would like to learn how to make alot of stuff homemade.I would like to be able to provide my own meat and eggs/milk but not sure I could kill the animal..As much as I love venision I don't think I could kill a deer although I love to go target shooting.
So to someup what and who I am ..picture a gal in a log cabin/cottage style home surrounded by woods sitting there watching all kinds of wild life grazing on her land and watching the sun rise or set with a woodburning stove to keep me warm on those cold days and night..With a 1948 ford pickup truck parked in the driveway..here is a picture of me with the lead singer from trick pony

Hello All *:)

Hope this photo thing works ! In this album are a few pic's of me down at my future place in Fla. and some of my hobby of collecting and restoring old farm and garden tractors.
All 3 tractors were fully retsored by me. The White and black one is a 1963 Bolens 800 compact tractor. The green machine is a 1965 John Deere 110. The 2 wheel orange one is a 1953 Simplicity Model F. I have about 18 tractors both 2 and 4 wheel. I use them and show them. Its a fun hooby and I get the machines for free or liitle money ( less than 50 bucks ) .

The dawg is my best friend Raven :) She is a 9 year old pure breed beagle. She will eat anything and loves life ;D

Nope thats my ugly mug, doing the projection/throw, called (in English ) Wheel Throw, its 4-5 years old, thats one of my schools (dojo). The site has been in limbo for a while due to crazy life stuff, but have been learning to add and edit, photos, so keep checking back as I am daily updating the album, now there are homestead photos, and more from the coast of Normandy. Great looking family and I to am sorry for your loss but at least you were able to love him for a short time. Beautiful baby. My wife and I both belonged to a blackpowder club and did all the rendavouse. I still blackpowder hunt but haven't the time lately for the re-enactments. You do learn a lot from them about how to be self relient. I made a capote from a whitney horse blanket and every one who sees it want to buy it untill they understand the price involved. Say hi to him and pig for us , nice looking heeler. We have a heeler/austrailian shep mix called maggie.

Thats one fine looking saw, hard to tell in the picture, but looks like it has the pivot handles !

I could not afford the $69.95 plus shipping for the
jointer / raker gage tool, spider set gage, and setting stake.

I was able to pick up good ones from Ebay for a total of $20.00 for all. Others must not have known what they were because I was the only bidder !

I have 9 or 10 crosscuts. 3 are two man saws.

FUNMOMMY- OMG!!!! I saw that picture of Brandon somewhere else on the Internet and I
sent it to my sister in law because my nephew wanted to be a "road" for Halloween and had a
