You start an account with a file hosting service, like photobucket.com. When you upload a picture to the site, the hosting service will provide a link/url that is a direct link to the picture. The link/url is what you put on the post. This allows the forums not to provide the space needed for displaying pictures. The hosting service is free.

Have a question........

How do people post pictures in forum threads ?

I can do the host (photobucket or other) thing, no problem if that is part of the process.

I want to be able to have the photo in the thread, not a link to it that people have to click on and still maybe not see.

Guess I need some details.......

Well, you click on the "insert image" button above (http://www.backwoodshome.com/forum/yabb/images/img.gif), the second button on the bottom line of Add BB tags:. This line appears in the post reply window. The appropriate BB tags will appear with instructions for inserting the link.

Easiest thing to do is to quote a message with a picture in it and look at how the link for the picture is placed.

When you get the link and tags in for your picture, click on the Preview button below and see if the image is in the post.

This is something new, so cut yourself a little slack. After you have done it a few times it will be like breathing - you won't even have to think about it any more.

I am guessing the good looking female on the left is Pat. If not, Pat has a good looking female on his right. Good looking couple.
If I ever learn to post pictures everyone will go blind, LOL.
Thanks for the tips. I am going to try and learn how to post. I would love to share some with everyone here.
Take care
Dennis

Once you have your Photos in photobucket. copy imag tag then paste on post. look in the line of words & find %20 & delete then hit space bar once. It's ready to post. Found that info Comments, Kudos, & Criticisms Re: Photobucket boycott?
Hope this helps
