I've seen many people post pics within a forum, just wondering how to do it. Someone told me when I first signed up, but I don't remember what they did. Where do I need to upload my pics to and how do I get them here?
Thanks, sorry for the trouble,
Southerngirl

Find a place to park your photos online. Search for places like "Photobucket" or "Imageshack" and make an account. Most are free but some may ask for a donation.

These servers will provide you with a link to photo(s) that you've uploaded from your computer.

Photobucket will allow you to reduce the size of the pictures for easier viewing. You have seen my pictures in my gardening thread. The page 2 pictures are reduced to 640x480.
Lately I have been learning about photo posting also.

Thank you, I started up with Photobucket today and started uploading my pics of the garden! I'll try this evening uploading them to this site.

Take a look at a post with a picture. If you do a quote on the post you can look at how they put the picture into the post - like this:

When you learn how to adjust the size of a picture -- including dpi (dots per inch) -- you find that the Internet uses a 72 dpi density and a screen width is 600 pixels.

So if you want a picture to take up 'half' the width of your screen, such as on a discussion board, the picture must be 300 pixels or less in width.

I guess all of us have seen those huge pictures when you don't edit the image down in size.
