He's a retriever/boxer and was very helpful finishing the lattice under the deck at my friend's home that are the proud owners ;)

Auggie had a "knack" for hopping on my back and looking around my neck to see what I was up to when I was scrunched down securing the lattice...and always finding his way under my arm to help with the tools :D

Kinda got attached to the little guy, Ya know?!

Gonna hafta get myself another Retriever one of these fine days!

Time to show mine. Dog is named after Rooster Cogburn's (John Wayne) dog. LOL and will be 12 this summer. He is half Australian Shepherd and half Blue Heeler. He is also almost totally blind, but healthy otherwise.

Rufus is my Border Collie. He will be 2 this July.

They are both working cow dogs...a must around here, except for Dog since he can't see well enough to work. But, he has worked and been a faithful friend, so he has earned his retirement time to relax.

What great pictures! Dog is alot like my Jake. Rufus crosses his paws just like my dog does, they are so distinquished! And Buddy is a real poser! How long did it take to get that shot?

I have goofy Jake. He is about 18 months old and he is the loyal farm dog here. He frets over chickens in the wrong places, tries to keep the cows in line and knows every delivery truck that produces cookies. ;-) He also knows every vendor in town that has a cookie stash - he has become a cookie fanatic! Oh and his job is keeping peacocks out of the garden. Guineas are fine but the peacocks must be sent to the trees!

I recently lost my baby & my best friend of 13 years, Callie, but I want to include her picture here.

She died from cancer & after watching me cry non-stop for weeks my husband tried to find me a kitten to cheer me up. He looked for weeks at every shelter & vet around with no luck until he found an ad selling persians. these are my two little fellas,Natasha and Boris,I also discovered a beautiful Border collie/blue healer mix in my barn saturday,complete with 2 pups,their dad is an aussie cow dog and they are so cute,look like little bear cubs,good guard doggys,they bark at me when I go in to feed them,they did belong to my neighbor,but he sold out his farm and moved to town,he left Lady with her pups,and we got a huge snowstrm and he couldn't get in to feed them regular,so she moved to my house,which is OK so now I guess I have 5 dogs,for now.

Never thought I'd appreciate having a Chihuahua around the house. But this is our second one (first passed away from congestive heart failure -- still painful but lots of God's Grace in that situation.)

GiGi is loyal to a fault, brave, caring, kind, loving, affectionate... and thinks she is 10-feet tall when someone comes between herself and either my DW or me.

She is better than any alarms system yet devised. NOTHING... and I mean nothing happens withing a certain perimeter of our place without us know about it. She even has progressive responses depending upon what she senses. Squirrels get a "special" response... she apparently thinks they are Satan's special envoys.
