Link below to one home about which we are seeking more info. I love the style of the home, but (from the pic) it just looks as though the home was set upon a dug out place on the hillside....no open space around the home. But, pics can be deceiving so we're investigating this one a bit further ;)

Nice house; but yeah, that would be my concern too... not to mention washouts, landslides, and winter access.

I see a lot of gorgeous houses around here, built into the sides of and overlooking bluffs, and all I can think about when I see them is... fire... flood... snow... Might last another 50 years, might be wiped out in the next spring flood. I'd look for evidence of sliding and falling around there...

Looks like all view, no garden.

Still no contact from the realty company, but I did send an email over the weekend and the guy to whom it was addressed may not have been in the office today.

I agree with all the above comments. It does look like all view and I would be concerned about slides, fires, etc. Thanks for your input :)

Actually I see a nice access to the right of the place and not a very long hillside with trees at the bottom. clear in front means better fire protection. I see a lot of possibilities. Plus what looks like a great view. If the price was right this could be a pretty sweet deal .Water? Power? Septic? Let us know what you find out.

Looks like a great home in the woods. Of course I'm a little prejudice towards houses in the woods on a hillside.
Like Flatwater said, it looks to have some level bottom land for a garden down the hill from the house.
If this house is built using deep set piers, I wouldn't worry too much about it sliding down the hill because of heavy rain.
Let us know how it goes.....Good Luck!

We won't be pursuing this home. It's location was misidentified and it's part of a home owner's association....along with ALL of the regulations/restrictions that come with that.

When my wife and I got married we had a talk about the things we would tolerate , the things we would comprimise on and the things that we would not budge on and one of those things that we both agreed on was we would not live anywhere that was a part of a home owners ass. or any where that had covenants.
