maggie and I were on a walk by the cabin when we stumbled on this little fawn. Maggie walked over and licked it's ear but by the time I got the camera out she was back by my side. I took the picture then left.

Nice shot! in 2006 I was walking through the woods at my future cabin site and my buddy told me to freeze. He told me to look beneath the branch I had just stepped over. He took a stick and moved the branch aside for the pic.

I was wet and crabby from getting caught in the rain so was not looking for anything more then what I'd trip over. We believe he was a new born because he didn't even move and his fur still looked kinda slimy.

Maggie must be a sweet dog, showing love to a beautiful fawn alone in the woods.

What a sweety - those aussi heelers are a prize for sure. Jake is the same way - he's playing nanny dog to two new barn kittens now. We are still looking for a Mrs Jake for him. ;-)
