Beautiful, looks like what we get here in MN.
Your site is absolutely lovely.
Misty, you have such a beautiful place. I know your not supposed to covet what your neighbor has and truly I don't but I am a little envious. Lovely!

I got goosebumps just looking a those pictures! :o Haven't seen snow since January 13, 1985 when it snowed 13 inches here in San Antonio. That was an adventure believe me! LOL

After 5 nights of subzero temps, the river froze over. The silence is eerie. We always have the sound of the river in the background (it "sings" us to sleep at night), it'll be back soon, but the silence is strange while it lasts.

What part of Idaho are you in??? We were looking at a hunter's cabin near Saint Maries, Idaho - but I think we'd be happier further North - in either Idaho or Washington. Beautiful place!!! Do you heat with wood or????????

We are farther north, in the Selkirks by Priest Lake.
We heat with propane stoves but we have a wood cookstove if we need it.

Thanks for the nice comments.
Looking back on those pictures from last year I'm struck by the difference in snowfall this year. We have close to 3 feet on the ground and it keeps on coming.

And here I am in northcentral Montana and not a speck of snow on the ground. Up in the national forest; probably 20 miles away, there is I guess about 8 inches. Knee-deep everywhere i walk up there; but it has drifted. So, please send a little on our way. :)

I know it looks so beautiful and I am lulled into a trance looking at it but unless I had a honey like you to live with me .. I would be so very cold in all that beauty.. whew.

Looks beautiful. I would be quite a happy camper with a place like that!
About 2 weeks ago I bundled up my 5 year old and put her in my pickup for a long winters drive. We drove from Twin Falls up through Arco to Mackay to Challis, then down the Salmon to Stanley and over to Garden Valley to stay with the folks for a few days. I love winter in Idaho. It is flat beautiful.
