Aren't they great dogs? Our Jake is also Aussie/Blue Heeler cross. Dad was the Aussie

Deborosa , most of this type mix looks like your Jake but Maggie got the short blue heeler hair but it's like silk more like the Aussie shepherd and her color is somewhat odd but other then that she looks just like jake and that her favorite position also. Oh did I mention she uses her paws more like we use our hands and she is as smart as a whip.

Yes! Jake uses his paws like arms also! And he loves to soak in pools of water. And he's incredibly smart. However he hates change of any kind until you force him into something new for a few times, then he's ok. We moved his sleeping crate a couple of feet and he would not go in it! Wouldn't ride in the truck until we forced him to a few times and now he knows ride like nothing. Knows at least 50 words - we are going to have to start spelling!

I see your Maggie got the shorter tail also - Jake has a very long bushy tail.
