Do you have any suggestions for where to get bulk yeast? I used to get mine on Ebay from a woman but she no longer sells it. The last bag I got was from a trip through WI (I stopped at Weavers). Now that bag is just about gone...where do you all get yours? I'm not sure that I have anyone local I can go through.

Just how much do you mean and what type of yeast?
I get the 1-pound chubs of SAF-Instant Yeast and 2-pound bags of Active Dry Yeast at our local restaurant supply store. Both are very inexpensive.
A grocery store that is no longer in operation had a section where they sold the large restaurant-size foods and I used to buy 2-pound bags of Active Dry Yeast there. If you have a similar section at your grocery store, check for yeast.
You can also ask your grocer to order it for you. If they get the envelopes and jars of yeast, I bet they can special-order you the larger amounts.
Sam's Club carries Active Dry Yeast in large sizes.
King Arthur Flour - SAF-Instant http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/detail.jsp?id=1458 (that's $2+ more than I pay for it at the restaurant supply store)
Emergency Essentials - has SAF-Instant for $3.95 - http://beprepared.com/search.asp?t=ss&ss=yeast&image1.x=11&image1.y=5
Bob's Red Mill sells larger amounts of Active Dry Yeast - www.bobsredmill.com
I'd avoid no-name bulk yeast from a health food store. You never know how long they've had it or where they have had it stored.
If you DO purchase an un-named brand in bulk, you may want to check it for activity level:
How to:
in a 1-cup glass measuring cup place 1/4 c. warm water and 1 t. sugar. Add 1-1/2 t. yeast. Wait 10 minutes - the mixture should be up the the 1/2 c. line.

There is an Amish grocery a couple hours from where I live that sell yeast in bulk much cheaper than I can buy it anywhere else. So, you may look in that direction as well.... either a Menonite or an Amish grocer...
