I thought I'd split this off as the last thread is getting a bit large with all the pics...

So, this week I was able to work on some of the finish plumbing...

The main bath sinks and faucets are set:

As well are the master:

However, this post also comes with a warning. Whenever you buy cabinets at a big box retailer, check them before you leave! One of the vanities they delivered was destroyed in the box. The tall cabinet in the master was missing pieces, you might notice the lack of a toe kick, I still need to make one. And lastly, the cabinet for the garage utility sink was destroyed, but I spent a couple of hours trying to make it work the way it was and finally just built a new base for it!

I'll post more pics of it later.

- sorry, the missing toe kick is easier to see in this pic...

Well things are really moving along now, so the updates will be a lot more frequent. In fact there should be a LOT of updates in the next little while, and, here's one now!

Today was spent working on the painting and the light fixtures, and we got about half of each done, ok, maybe less than half, but here's what we did get done...

The ceiling fan and painted walls in the girls bedroom...

The ceiling fan in the girls playroom...

And some details of the stencils we had the girls do on Sunday...

... I think Terri and I will go in and do some more later! :-)

This is the ceiling fan in the office...

And this is the light in the office closet...

... It was a gift from our neighbor Mike. I'll use a hook to raise it up, just didn't have one at the time!

This is the chandelier over the dining room table...

And lastly the ceiling fan in the master bedroom...

Rassd, great looking house. I bet everyone is getting excited.

When is the move in date?

Honestly, I'm not thinking far enough out to guess at a move in date! Everything is right now or the next few days. So, I'm not sure. Just trying to get it done.

Looks great.

Advice. DO NOT move in too soon.
I used to be a painting contractor doing much of our work in whole house renovations. The worst looser jobs were always the ones where the owners never moved out, or moved in too soon. Living in a house while doing major work will double or even triple the time needed and the cost.
Figure for every day you don't move in, you will be able to realistically do twice as much work.

Hey Chooch,
I totally agree that working and living in a house is a LOT more difficult. But we need to get out of our current place so we can get it ready to sell!

We have more progress...

first, this is our new microwave,

We're waiting for the mounting bracket so we can install it.

And this is our first chotsky,

It's a key box from my mom. - Thanks mom! :-)

Ok, so today was spent working on the kitchen cabinets...

This is what Trevor and I got done on Friday, well actually the three of us built some of it on Thursday and Trevor and I hung the wall cabinets and built a couple more on friday...

So, that's what we walked into this morning, and by the end of the day today...

All the cabinets have been leveled and screwed together and are now pretty much ready for the countertop guys to come this Sunday and do the template!

I was just thinking about your project and wondering how things were coming. How is the business and aquaculture going?
Any problems with security lately?

Rassd71,

I have not been around for a while, but it is good to see that your project is progressing nicely.

Rassd71. Are you gone too? Seems this place has been dead'ish for a while.
I keep trying though.

Sorry everyone. just been busy, I guess if I'm gone that long it does look like I left.
:-/

As things settle down, which I'm hoping will be soon, I'll be back! ;D

Things are rough, the economy and housing market have got us in a bad spot. But like everything else, it's just keep pushing forward!
