I haven't been on the site in a while with good reason. We finally finished our house and moved in on June 1st. Of course I have my hands full of odds and end projects for the balance of my life but thats part of the dream. You can see pictures of the process at the following link.

so nice to get to see someones pictures. Thanks so much for sharing.
I would post pictures if I could find a way to get them out of Kodak Easy share, all I can do is send them in an e-mail. (Easy share my foot)

Looks really nice with the red roof and situated next to the silo the way it is. Looks like it belongs and you've arrived.

Cheers. And thanks for sharing.
You are yet another inspiration.

To Bookwormom: Are your photos set up as .jpg? I would assume so, since most cameras create the images in this format. If you're unable to find a function within the Easy Share program that allows you to post pictures on the Internet, why not just do a cut and paste out of the folder where they're stored? Essentially, bypassing Easy Share all together.

Thanks for the compliments. We are really enjoying our new home. I'm only about 3 miles from where I was raised so the dirt roads are very familiar territory.

As far as pictures go, you have plenty of options. I work with computers for a living and have various interests including part owner of a webhosting business. That may sound good but it really costs money to own but fortunately, my partner loves doing it as a hobbie so it continues to stay afloat.

Quite a while back, I decided that having a bunch of pictures on your computer is no different than having them in a shoebox in your closet, so, I decided to create a place to show them. It costs me about $40.00 a year to keep them online and backed up on a daily basis. I have copies on my home computer however if it crashes, no worries because they are still on the webserver. The system I use is called Gallery (Google will return the site). It is an open source project so there are no fees involved. Installing it is pretty basic and I can customize it as much as I want as long as I can manipulate the code and create the desired graphics.
Having this setup does a few things for me:
- I only email a link to family and friends so I don't crowd everyones email box with huge jpg files
- Backups are made for me automatically
- I can place all kinds of images and even movies on the web

Obviously this may be a little bit more than the average person wants to tackle however I would give anyone assistance that might be intrigued by this method.

Other ideas are sites like Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/), SnapFish (http://www.snapfish.com/), and your Kodak will do the same but have certain limitations and advertisements.

Give me a yell if you need some further help on the subject. I should add that my setup also houses some blogging type activity where I post various interests I may have so it isn't just a gallery for $40.00 a year. I can explain further if necessary.

Enjoy!
