this just sounds fishy to us. I may have mentioned in the past that we are not exactly spring chickens anymore, sweet hubby being 66 and I am, well, I celebrate the anniversaries of my 30 birthday. so to make things easier for us and to buy made in America and not in China, we bought a DR weed trimmer with a circular sawblade attachment that cuts down saplings, of which we have quite a few in excess. we used it once for about two hrs. then the blade was dull and we took it to be sharpened, as we have a friend with the same machine, only older, and the local guy at the hardware store sharpens his. well, we found out that the blade is dished and can't be sharpened, (friend's old blade is not) when calling the company they told us that all the blades are that way, that is the way it was meant to be. I can not imagine that a wobbly blade is better than a flat one. are they handing us a line? should we have bought Chinese?

neither husband nor I are exactly savvy with machinery.

I would ask DR how they designed it to be sharpened.

oh they included a sharpening file and instructions.
what floors me is the dished shape of the blade. A friend has an older model and the blade is level, no trouble in getting it sharpened at the hardware store either. aren't things supposed to be improved, get better? this sure ain't. I was hoping someone might know more about saw blades than I. Table saws sure are not dished to make them better. to my way of thinking this sounds like they are giving us the run around so we won't return the thing. But how can I prove that? and maybe I am wrong.
