moble home

i'm living in a single wide homeand looking to build on. anyone have any pic, so i could get some ideas. thanks dave.

How much are you looking to build on? Does the mobile have a peaked roof or a flat roof? What type of siding is on the mobile? And what are the county requirements where you are?

I always thought a good way to do it would be to put a foundation under the mobile and have a split level on the side that is half a flight of stairs up from the basement and half a flight of stairs down from the mobile.

my home has metal siding and aflat roof. i would like to find some pic's of what other's have done to get some ideas. thanks dave

The section with the awning is the mobile home. The rest is two additions with the roof covering the whole structure. I built it in phases as finances allowed. Back in those days if it cost 10 cents to go around the world I couldn't have gotten out of sight. :-/

This is a partial picture of the plans I originally drew. I changed the roof plan later to the full gable. I had a permit from the County at the time but I don't know if they would allow this today. This was done several years ago. Since that time the woodpeckers decided to eat the siding so it is now stucco and I am still here without any problems with the structure. So rather current building regulations would allow this today or not it was a good plan.

This is an end and front shot of my structure. The front is basic pole structure with a shingle roof. The mobile home area is around 18" higher than the add-on. (2 steps)

I had trusses built to over lap the area where the 2 meet to cover up the seam. The roof material on the trusses is metal. I plan to finish the lower roof with metal also..
